Welcome to a behind-the-scenes look at one of our recent and most exciting projects - the transformation of a gaming room at Sporties Tuncurry. This project perfectly encapsulates the essence of Capital Design Works and our dedication to creating bespoke gaming spaces that not only look impressive but also function seamlessly.
Our mission was to design and construct the interior joinery fit-out for Sporties Tuncurry's new gaming room. With a project duration of about nine months, we were challenged to utilise the space effectively, create a unique gaming environment, and ensure a premium finish that aligns with the local culture and patrons' preferences.
At Capital Design Works, we believe in a meticulous and customer-centric approach. For Sporties Tuncurry, this meant starting with an in-depth design brief to understand the club's vision and requirements. Our team then set out to create a comprehensive floor plan layout, which served as the blueprint for the project.
We also developed a 3D animated model and still renders of the room, providing a realistic vision of the project. This vital step fostered an open dialogue with the client, allowing us to refine the concept based on their feedback and ensure alignment with their expectations.
Following the conceptualisation, we embarked on the shop drawing phase, focusing on detailed aspects of design and finishes. We presented these to the client for approval, keeping transparency and collaboration at the forefront.
Our project’s success relied heavily on a dynamic collaboration with various stakeholders. In particular, our partnership with Club Projects, the builder, was instrumental in understanding the nuances of the project's requirements and resolving technical challenges swiftly. This was facilitated through regular site meetings and remote discussions, creating an environment of open communication and mutual understanding.
In particular, the precision setout provided by Darren from Sporties and Dean from Club Projects during the build phase significantly contributed to the successful execution of our design plans.
A significant part of the project's success was our attention to the manufacturing process. At Capital Design Works, we don't just build, we craft. Each component of the gaming room, from the screens and hobs to the drink shelves and joinery, was meticulously created with care and attention to detail. Our unique approach to manufacturing focuses on enhancing both aesthetics and functionality, producing items that add a touch of luxury while being practical.
One of the standout features was the gaming layout, which was designed for maximum player engagement and functionality. The hobs and drink shelves were strategically placed to offer convenient resting spots for personal items, ensuring they were easily accessible for players.
The screens were an additional feature that added design sophistication to the room. These were strategically placed around machines to ensure maximum visibility and engagement, all while fitting seamlessly into the room's overall design aesthetic.
Our manufacturing process also delivered stunning bespoke ceiling features with rounded corners, mirror borders, and anodized tubing. LED lighting was used to highlight the custom 'Eye' shape and central perspex feature, creating a visually engaging ceiling display that added a unique touch to the gaming room.
Moreover, our custom-made bases with a 'lightning bolt' system ensured maximum strength and stability for the machines. The mirror kicks and base-style infills not only added an elegant appearance but also maintained the open, spacious look of the gaming room. The 'S' wall joinery and entry feature, with their modern designs, offered a warm, welcoming atmosphere to patrons as they stepped into the room.
In essence, every detail of the gaming room, from the joinery to the ceiling features, from the entry design to the custom-configured bases, was carefully crafted to meet our commitment to exceptional aesthetics and functionality. Our success at Sporties Tuncurry is a testament to this unwavering commitment.
Our installation process was just as meticulous as the design and manufacturing stages. We carefully scheduled each stage to ensure a seamless flow and to minimise any disruption to the club's operations. However, we also stayed flexible to accommodate any unforeseen site changes or tweaks necessary along the installation process.
The result? A gaming room that strikes the perfect balance between aesthetics, functionality, and endurance. But our journey with Sporties Tuncurry didn't end with the completion of the project.
